Fred Teichert is a great human being. . .

Wow. I mean WOW! I just got home, jumped on my email, and found this in my inbox:

Hi, Tim – sorry for only just now getting back to you – Nancy and I went to Scandinavia and I was gone when you sent this.

Just before leaving, I made a blood donation to the BloodSource and am a regular donor pretty much. The only bad part is that I’m already signed up to give blood on behalf of our Rotary Club, which is always duking it out with Pam’s club. We’ve also started Teichert blood drives for that group. However, I will make a personal $1.00 donation to the BloodSource for every pint your friends generate up to $400 by your birthday next year. Let me know the result when the time comes.

I shouldn't be surprised at the generosity of my friends in my pursuit, but sometimes I just am. . . And it’s a great feeling.
