News10 Blood Drive Collects 2,376 Pints of Blood
Blood donors came out in force Friday at the annual blood drive sponsored by News10, BloodSource and the Delta Blood Bank. By day's end, donors gave 2,376 pints of blood, exceeding this year's goal of 2,006 pints and last year's record 2,274.

Summer is typically a time of critical shortage in the blood supply because there are fewer regular donors available and more need for blood products because of accidents.

BloodSource says they are thrilled with the community's response and that it is never to late to make an appointment to donate. To learn more about donating blood, click on the link below.
