Give Blood to the Murphy 400 Fund

I hope your Thanksgiving reminds everyone of what we all have to be thankful for. Not only am I thankful for the health of my two boys – I’m thankful for the good people that live in my community, and for those who are helping me meet my goals for the Murphy 400 Fund by helping with an extraordinary event.

On December 9th, BloodSource and Local Centers are holding a major blood drive for members of Elk Grove Online (EGO) to benefit the Murphy 400 Fund. The Blood Mobiles will be at the Northeast corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Harbor Point Drive from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Organized and sponsored by John Wallace of Local Centers, donors will receive a limited-edition blood drive t-shirt and an incentive passport good for freebies and specials offered by Elk Grove-area merchants. The passport includes:

• Free pint glass from the Black Horse Pub and Grill
• Two-for-one dinner from Lyla’s Mexican Grill
• Two-for-one from Port City Java
• Two-for-one from Sports Cuts (Thanks John Bovee!)
• $5 coupon from Postal Central
• A free personal pizza from Original Pete’s
• Free gift card from Table 260 with a lunch or dinner purchase

To date, over 85 EGO members have pledged to donate blood! Thank you to everyone who has pledged to participate, and a special thank you to John Wallace for his generosity and vision for a great blood drive, all of the merchants who have donated to the incentive passport and Jeff Vail of EGO for his technical and digital support!
